To register for Ultimate Frisbee, follow these Steps!

 

 Step 1.  Fill in Registration Form below.

 

 

Step 2.  Pay $25 registration fee via PayPal.

 

Step 3.  Download waiver, medical authorization &

parent acknowledgement forms below.

Step 4.  Submit the completed forms (3) to:

Getting Started:

  • Go to www.presidentialserviceawards.gov, chose Get Involved then Volunteers.

  • Click Get Started Now and register.

  • Very Important – include the NVC Record of Service Key: DLP-1370 on the registration (otherwise we won’t be able to certify your hours for the award)

  • Save your username & password.

  • Complete volunteer hours and get NVC Volunteer Hours Form signed by the responsible person.

  • Send the form as indicated on the bottom of the form.

  • When you are ready to log hours, log in to the above website with your username & password.

  • Go to My Service then Add Activity

 

In order to certify hours, we will need the signed form.

Requirements for the Presidential Volunteer Service Award

 

Criteria

  • Individuals, families and groups that meet the criteria are eligible for the PVSA.

  • Recipient(s) must be a United States citizen or a lawfully admitted permanent resident of the United States.

  • Awards are issued for service hours served within a 12-month time period or over the course of a lifetime.

  • Awards are issued for volunteer service only; additional levels of participation with the organization (i.e., charitable support) are not a factor considered for the award.

  • Court-ordered community service does not qualify for the award.

  • Awards are issued by approved Certifying Organizations.

  • Service must be with an approved Certifying Organization that is legally established in the United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or one of the U.S. territories.

 

Eligibility

Hours are measured over a 12-month period and awards are designated based on cumulative hours. The awards are offered in multiple levels and are designed to recognize each milestone of your service achievement. Levels include bronze, silver, gold and the highest honor, the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for those who contribute more than 4,000 hours of service in their lifetime.

  • Challenger Program

    • Information: Closter’s “Differently-Abled” sports program for students of all ages who attend Northern Valley District schools.  Offers baseball/t-ball in the spring, basketball in the winter and a horseback riding program held in both the spring and fall. Volunteers are needed to work with the children.

  • BuddyBall

    • Information: An all volunteer experience matching children with developmental disabilities to non-disabled buddies for 1-1 sports activities.  Offers soccer (8 weeks starting in September), basketball (8 weeks starting in January), Track (8 weeks starting in April).
