What is S.A.F.E. Homes?

(Support Alcohol/Substance Free Environments)

 

 

SAFE Homes Parents Network is a national effort to develop a community- wide coalition of parents and other adults who are committed to addressing the issue of underage drinking/illegal drug use in our community.

 

 

Families from Northern Valley will have an opportunity to sign a pledge committing to not serve alcohol to minors or allow illegal substance usage in their homes.

The Pledge

 

First, it is important to note, the "pledge" is a good faith promise, not a legal contract. By signing this pledge, you promise to:

 

  • Provide adult supervision for large gatherings and/or parties in your home

  • Not serve alcohol to any guest under the age of 21 or permit underage drinking or illegal drug use in your home

  • Take reasonable precaution to secure prescription and over-the-counter medications in your home

  •  Your name will be published in a directory acknowledging you have signed the pledge and welcome communication with other parents​
